by Harlan Coben
It is the same style as Tell No One, but it has cheesy written all over it. The sports part caught me off guard and I almost dropped the whole book. Then there are analogies to movies, games of literature quotes, inorganic details such as how a waitress scratches her ass, and meaningless smart mouth conversations. Perhaps Harlan Coben is just like his protagonist, clever, showy, and maybe even a little frivolous.
